Sorry, but you are not permitted to "save spaces" for friends, family, co-workers arriving later. No Exceptions. Parking across two spaces will not be permitted and your "saved spots" will be filled. Just think how you would feel if you were told the lot was full and then saw people entering the lot after you.
At this time, the Diamond State Drive-In Theatre is a strictly US Cash Only business. We do not accept:
Credit or Debit cards;
Personal, Business, Payroll, Tax Refund, or 3rd-party-drawn-on-overseas-account Checks;
Foreign currency (that includes Canadian dollars or Soviet rubles);
I-O-Us
Stamps (food, trading or postal);
Barter
Just Cash. ATMs dispensing legal US currency are located in the various service stations both north and south of us; the closest is in the Shore Stop on the Northbound side of RT 13, approximately 1/2 mile north of the Drive-In.
We do accept US coins dug out from between the seats of the car, so long as they aren't pennies.

Absolutely Not! People illegally entering the lot while the business is closed will be charged with trespass. Those actually digging holes in the lot will additionally be charged with destruction of property. Our neighbors have been made aware of this policy, and will note license plates of offenders and call the police should any non-familiar cars enter the lot during non-business hours.

We encourage the following common-sense rules in parking:
Short vehicles should occupy the front rows of the theatre, as
well as the front side of ramp when we are parking cars back-to-front
Taller vehicles, such as SUVs, pickups with raised suspensions or oversized
tires, should park in the back side of each ramp, and not in the
first 3 rows of the theatre.
Oversize vehicles (campers, semi-tractors, commercial vehicles) should park in the
last rows of the theatre.
If patrons do not exercise these common-sense rules, or otherwise block the
view of a patron who has already parked, we reserve the right to move vehicles
and parties to other locations.
Starting in 2003, each vehicle is entitled to one parking space.
Please do not occupy additional spaces with lawn chairs or blankets.
Best Advice - If you park between the yellow
speaker poles, close enough to one so that someone can pull beside you, and intend to sit
inside your car (not on the ground), you will see. We also reserve the right
to move tall vehicles or ask people to not sit on vehicle roofs if that obstructs other
customers' views.

Unlike the megaplex chains that know that eventually they will get every top run movie,
and be able to make their committment to the studios to run the movie, even if it is
in one of their shoe-box sized theaters,
the Diamond State Drive-In has only 1 screen, and thus can only book movies for one, two, or maybe three weeks
in advance. So, all the information we have will be listed on the Shows
page, usually within 24 hours of us finding out ourselves.

Usually, we hear this the most when we show a PG after a PG-13 or R
rated movie. Unfortunately, the answer comes down to economics. It isn't the MPAA rating
that dicates which movie plays first, but the Box Office Rating that does. The film studio
wants the more popular movie shown first, the booker (who gets our movies for us) wants the
more popular movie shown first, and simply because more people show up if the more popular movie
plays first, we want to show the more popular movie first. It is sad but
true that we have tried to show the children's movie first, several times over the last few
years, and the nightly figures show that although some of you like the order this way, a
lot more of you didn't show up for either movie. So, in order
stay in business, we have to play the films out of order.

We usually open the ticket booth and concession stand around 60 minutes before showtime Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Feel free to arrive early and park in line at the ticket booth if you wish.

No Problem. Usually the ticket booth is manned until shortly before
intermission. If it is un-manned, PLEASE slowly and carefully drive to the
snack bar and wait. Someone will be with you shortly.

Only under extreme circumstances only! Please see a
Drive-In employee prior to leaving and when you return, and make sure you
have your tickets handy.

Unlike the OLD Drive-Ins, you won't find speakers attached to the speaker poles. The movie
sound is broadcast to your vehicle on 88.3 FM.

Before Showtime: The projectionist will assess the likelyhood of running the show to its completion, and may delay opening the box office until that decision has been made. Once made, it is final, and nightly changes are recorded to the Drive-In Movie line (302-284-8307). The Website may not be updated for individual night closures.
During the Show:If it begins to rain, snow, sleet, lightening, or fog to the point that the projectionist can
no longer safely run the first movie, we may interrupt or cancel a showing. If cancelled, we
will issue rain passes that entitle everyone in
your party to free admission at a later date. We are not able to issue rain passes
once the first movie ends. No Cash Refunds once any movie has begun. Note: The issuance of Rain Passes is determined soley when we stop running the movie,
not when patrons decide to leave prior to that time. Back to top of page
Our preference is that you visit the Snack Bar.
We ask that if you do not wish to carry your trash to the provided cans,
that you bag & leave your trash, rather than just "dumping" it. We will
provide bags to you at the snack bar.

Unfortunately, the Winter and Spring seasons at the Diamond State Drive-In Theater
could be summed up in one word: MUD. Therefore, we wait until mid-spring to open,
and continue playing movies until you stop coming, usually mid October.
